Kodomo no Jikan - Episode 02

Found some time watch episode 02 of Kodomo no Jikan. Here are some screen caps.

Aoki starts his class with a writing activity wherein the class has to write about his or her dreams. The class unenthusiastically responds by mentioning how dreams are pointless since the world is cruel and harsh. Rin on the other hand jumps excitedly and exclaims her dream to the whole class, "I want to be Aoki-sensei's bride".

On the school rooftop, a rather disappointed Kuro complains to Rin about how easy it is for Rin to say such things so recklessly. Kuro also confesses her love for Rin, unfortunately, Rin doesn't take her seriously and states that Kuro's love is based on friendship instead of that which she feels towards Aoki.

Class resumes and Aoki tries to teach his class, much to his disappointment, his class seems rather uninterested. He is later confronted by one of his superiors and tells him that his class is doing real poor. Another day passes, Aoki tries his best to teach and motivate his class to pay attention, much to his dismay. The class still seems inattentive until Rin points out to the class that Aoki is doing his best to teach the class and tells him to continue on with his lesson. During a 1-on-1 lesson with Aoki later that day, Rin asks if she would get a reward from him if she gets a 100 on the next assignment.

Folllowing day, Aoki hands back his students assignments and Rin gets a 100. Aoki comes across Rin before leaving school, she asks him for a hug until she gets home as her reward for getting a perfect mark. He carries Rin for the duration of the evening. Rin asks if Aoki hates her, and he responds by saying "I love you".

Thoughts:

I found this episode to be rather amusing, and it sure had its highlights. I was also surprised by Kuro's confession to Rin, although it wasn't really anything like a confession. Turns out she's a "yuri", and I was actually getting fond of Kuro. Another scene I found funny was the conversation between Rin and Aoki were she asks him to have sex with her as her reward if she gets a 100 on the next assignment. It's obviously hard to believe words like those coming from a 3rd grader, and although in reality it is disturbing, it is after all an anime. I really wasn't expecting much from this episode but I did enjoy it.. and yes, I like Kuro!
